Following the reveal of Star Wars: Jedi Fallen Order by Respawn Entertainment, during a panel from Star Wars Celebration, Electronic Arts presented a look at performance capture.

The image shown above, as well as an earlier Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order teaser image depicting the same destroyed lightsaber hilt have been circulating the internet as part of a greater topic regarding the lightsaber's original owner, which is, supposedly, very significant.

Also revealed alongside the details were a poster for the game, which was leaked a day prior to this official reveal thanks to the ever vigilant Twitter user Wario64.

What's the story of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order?

The villains of Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order are the Second Sister, an elite inquisitor for the Empire who was teased in the recent Darth Vader #19 comic, and the Purge Troopers, who are tasked with hunting down the remaining Jedi. After the issues with Star Wars Battlefront II, that was a welcome announcement to the crowd at the Celebration Stage.

'Star Wars' VR game 'Vader Immortal' teases story details in trailer

Seen as a potential frontrunner coming into the current console generation, Star Wars 1313 - a gritty cinematic action game - was sadly canned following Disney's acquisition of Lucasfilm. It's worth noting that the game is directed by Stig Asmussen, who is known for working on the God of War series before joining Respawn. Cal is portrayed by Cameron Monaghan (Joker from the TV show Gotham). Visually, it's stunning and it feels like a proper story within the franchise, which is what the best Star Wars games do very well.

Here's hoping more than a village will be there to play the game when it arrives.

Although the trailer doesn't feature any actual gameplay, it does flesh out the story a little: a single-player, third-person perspective story, free from microtransactions and with no multiplayer component.

It looks like Cal is joined by a robot companion named BD-1. "Its a story game", Zampella continued. By the end of the trailer, he concludes: "Trust only in the Force".
