YouTuber Olivia Jade is getting slammed online for reportedly bribing her way into prestigious college

Olivia Giannulli, a so-called online "influencer" who goes by the name Olivia Jade online, was the target of most of the backlash.

Olivia has since come under fire for "ignorant" comments she has made about college, including an interview just last week in which she admitted that she only went to college because her parents forced her.

Loughlin and her husband, fashion designer Mossimo Giannulli, allegedly paid $500,000 to make it appear that their daughter had been a rower, the indictment states.

John Vandemoor, a former Stanford University sailing coach, is also scheduled to plead guilty to racketeering conspiracy charges. No students were charged, with authorities saying that in many cases the teenagers were unaware of what was going on.

The Richest says Loughlin has an estimated net worth of $6 million, while Celebrity Net Worth clocks her in a bit higher, estimating her net worth is about $8 million.

"We are saddened by the recent news surrounding the college admissions allegations", the company said in a statement.

It is said that the students involved did not know about their parents' collusion with the scam, and are not being prosecuted.

Loughlin stood with her lawyer in the Los Angeles courtroom Wednesday, March 13, and didn't speak except to answer "yes" to the judge's questions.

Loughlin, Giannulli, and Hodge are among 50 people charged with taking part in the largest such scandal in US history, which prosecutors said steered graduating high school students into elite universities, including Yale, Georgetown, and Stanford by cheating the admissions process.
