Apple confirms 'It's show time' event on 25 March, to likely launch a TV subscription service

Sources previously told Reuters that the company is targeting April for the launch of a streaming television service that will likely include subscription TV service. The process has worked out well for Apple Music. This year, Apple is expected to unveil the iPad (7th-generation) that will retain the conventional headphone jack and Touch ID.

The company has not given any details on the products that would be launched during the event.

Apple, which recently stopped disclosing iPhone unit sales data, is increasingly trying to turn investors toward the long-term value of its services ecosystem. CBS, Showtime, Starz and Viacom but HBO has still not reached an agreement with Apple, which is reportedly asking for a 30% cut on all subscribers who sign up for third-party services.
