Report Teddy Bridgewater will re-sign with Saints

The report noted Bridgewater had "a bigger deal on the table from Miami" but opted to turn down the Dolphins because he "values the locker room culture and prospect of one day becoming the Saints' starting quarterback". He joined NY in March of 2018 on a one-year, $6 million deal that included $9 million in incentives after being released by the Vikings at the end of the 2017 season.

Bridgewater, 26, had an 11-5 record and a playoff appearance in 2015, his second season with the Vikings.

If Brown goes to Buffalo, he'll pair up with Josh Allen and his big arm on what will presumably be a lot of deep balls. Both Jordan Lasley and Jaleel Scott - 2018 National Football League draft selections - played no snaps last season.

During the 2016 training camp, Bridgewater suffered a garish knee injury on a non-contact incident, tearing his ACL and disclocating his knee joint.

He signed a one-year, incentive-laden deal with the New York Jets as a free agent last March, then was traded to the Saints during the preseason for a 2019 third-round pick.

Bridgewater spent three seasons with the Vikings after Minnesota drafted him in the first round of the 2014 NFL Draft.

But the Saints obviously see something in Bridgewater, and you can't help but root for the guy given everything he's been through.
