When the Denver Broncos acquired Peyton Manning in 2012, it was seen as a major gamble. Releasing Keenum from the second year of his $36 million, two year deal would mean they'd owe him $7 million and save $11 million.

In early 2013, Flacco earned Super Bowl XLVII MVP honors, for a 22-of-33 performance that resulted in almost 300 yards and three touchdowns in a 34-31 win over the San Francisco 49ers.

Ross finished with an inspirational message: "Learn, dream, unlock new doors. Also in honor of her 75th birthday, the residency concludes on February 23.

In nine games past year, Flacco threw for 2,464 yards, completing 232 of 379 attempts for 12 touchdowns and six interceptions.

What the Broncos will give up for Flacco is unclear although NFL Network reported that it will be a mid-round pick. And the Niners, who own the No. 2 overall pick, could easily be eyeing a possible trade down in what is turning out to be a thin class at the position. The influx of rookie quarterbacks in the 2018 NFL Draft started it. Teams long stuck in purgatory found guys who may be their answer: Baker Mayfield with the Cleveland Browns, Sam Darnold to the New York Jets, Lamar Jackson and Baltimore, Josh Rosen with the Arizona Cardinals, and even Josh Allen and the Buffalo Bills.

Case Keenum With no one on the roster capable of serving as a starting quarterback in the NFL, Keenum signed a two-year deal with the Broncos in March of 2018 after a breakout year as a starter in Minnesota.

Per Schefter, the deal will save the Ravens $10.5 million in cap space. Last season started well for Flacco, with three single-game grades of 83.0 or greater during Weeks 1 to 4. None of the money is guaranteed, so the Broncos could cut him with no salary cap penalty at any point. That Elway clearly doesn't envision any potential plug-and-play candidates in the lot at No. 10 isn't stunning, but given his track record of acquiring QBs, it can be interpreted a few different ways. Flacco has been extremely average in his National Football League career aside from one season in which he was the quarterback on the NFL's team of destiny, the 2012 Baltimore Ravens. In his last four seasons as starter he went 24-27 after a 72-40 mark in his first seven.

Of course, Jordan is now the owner of the Charlotte Hornets who just so happen to be hosting this year's All-Star game. Off the court, Jordan marketed his on-court success into a fortune.

You have to wonder how many phone calls the Ravens made around the league regarding Flacco in order to come up with this immediate decision.
