Ivic, who will be honored Thursday by Milwaukee County Executive Chris Abele, spotted a boy alone on a freeway overpass near 4th and Mitchell.
According to authorities, the toddler was discovered to be less than a year old and it's believed the mother, who may have been suffering from mental health issues, may have left the boy outside.
Authorities eventually reunited the baby girl with her father.

The video later shows Ivic stopping her bus, running across the street, picking up the crying child and carrying her to the bus. There's no one else in the street.
She carried the baby to safety inside her bus.

After hearing testimony from family members of the men and Padgett herself, now in her late 80s, newly-inaugurated Republican Gov. Ron DeSantis said this case was a " miscarriage of justice " and that the "only appropriate thing to do is to grant pardons".
"Oh my God. Oh my God. And when I saw him, I pulled over my bus and immediately picked up him", said Ivic.
Ivic then brings the baby aboard the bus, where another passenger lends the baby a jacket.
Firefighters, police officers and transit security officers arrived on the scene a short time later and took the child, who was unfortunately unharmed, so they could find her family. "I have my children too", Ivic said.
