Kalidou Koulibaly could join Manchester United from Napoli later in the year

Manchester United are not going to be signing Senegalese global and Napoli star Kalidou Koulibaly in the winter transfer window if reports in the media are anything to go by.

Man Utd are among those who've been strongly linked with a swoop for the Senegalese global and speculation suggests Koulibaly has emerged as their first choice target as the Manchester giants look to finally land a top class defender.

The 16-year-old defender is said to have told Villarreal chiefs that he won't be signing first pro deal with them and looks set for Old Trafford move.

Apple developing 3 new iPhones for fall release
It's possible that Haptic Touch will extend to all iPhone models if Apple gets rid of 3D Touch entirely. Looking ahead to 2020, Apple apparently might ditch LCD altogether.

But according to ESPN's Rob Dawson, the 27-year-old, despite signing a five-year contract in September, is open to completing a move to Old Trafford over the summer transfer window.

Koulibaly signed a long-term deal in Naples in 2018 but the club are realistic about their hopes of keeping him.

His departure would likely command a world-record fee for a defender, with United believed to be ready to pay €100 million (R1.6 billion) for his services.

Trump says changes coming on high-tech visas

United weren't expected to make any formal attempt to sign Koulibaly until summer and it remains to be whether Napoli would sanction the sale of their biggest asset at this stage of the season when they are still just about clinging to Juventus' coat tails in the Serie A title race.

United are yet to appoint a permanent successor for Mourinho but have consulted caretaker manager Ole Gunnar Solskjaer over the club's transfer targets.
