- The San Francisco Giants have announced a 20-year naming rights agreement with software giant Oracle Corporation early Thursday morning that will change the name of its China Basin ballpark.

AT&T Park in San Francisco, one of baseball's best and most handsome ballparks, will soon have a new name. AT&T signs at the park are already being removed.

Apple took a direct hit from the issue and even lost its number one spot to Microsoft who in turn lost it to Amazon . Apple's iPhone suppliers include Taiwanese assemblers Hon Hai Precision Industry Co Ltd (Foxconn) and Pegatron Corp.

While the deal's financial terms were not publicly disclosed, Bloomberg reported that Oracle will pay more than $200 million for a 20-year term, according to people familiar with the matter. The Warriors, who won three National Basketball Association championships in the Oakland arena, are moving across the bay to a new arena in San Francisco next season, and Oakland's arena will be renamed.

AT&T's naming rights to the Giants' stadium were set to expire at the end of the 2019 season. It was Pacific Bell Park even before it opened in 2000, then SBC Park in 2003, and finally changed to AT&T Park when the telecom giant bought out its predecessors. AT&T Park will henceforth be known as Oracle Park.

The outlet also reported that the patient has been in a vegetative state for at least a decade after almost drowning. The Arizona department of health services has said new safety measures have been implemented.

"I don't want to read too much into it, I think primarily it's a money motivation", said Louis Madakamutil. "The Giants have always been on the forefront of bringing innovative experiences to baseball, and we are excited to continue that tradition", said Mark Hurd, CEO of Oracle.

"If that means they're going to invest more in it, I think that's great for the fans", said Paul Coccovillo.
