Cecilia Vega of ABC News asks President Donald J. Trump a question after he delivered remarks on the United States Mexico Canada Agreement in the Rose Garden of the White House in Washington on Oct. 1 2018

White House corrects transcript to include Trump insult of female reporter

The White House corrected its transcript of Monday's press conference after facing claims that it airbrushed an embarrassing moment out of the Rose Garden event by omitting a verbal jab President Trump threw at the second journalist he called on.

The Trump Rose Garden presser had been called to celebrate the president's successful re-negotiation of NAFTA with Canada and Mexico.

When Vega received the microphone, she assured Trump that she was not shocked and thanked him for calling on her.

"I'm not", Vega responded, "thank you Mr. President".

In the transcript, Trump says, "I know you're not thanking".

Despite being somewhat disoriented by Trump's comments, Vega launched into a question about a recent tweet Trump made in reference to the Kavanaugh investigation.

After verbally attacking those journalists as members of his Cabinet, staff and son-in-law Jared Ku shner stood behind him saying nothing, Trump then did a 180 and began to take questions about Kavanaugh and the Federal Bureau of Investigation probe.

Vega, visibly taken aback, seemed to ask Trump to repeat what he'd said.

Mr Trump also had his supporters, who defended his right to refuse to answer the question on Brett Kavanaugh when prompted by Ms Vega. Unsurprisingly, Collins was passed over and another journalist was handed the mic.

The reporter, surprised by the president's response, then said, "I'm sorry?"

OnePlus major leak reveals Android flagship OnePlus 6T in full glory
The design can be seen as confirmation that OnePlus 6T will not offer a 3.5mm headphone jack, which the company has also said. Apart from the changes mentioned above, the OnePlus 6T is also reported to get a new screen format, with a tiny notch on top.

Several news outlets (and Twitter users) are up in arms about the incident, saying that Trump was saying "I know you're not thinking, you never do", and insulting Vega's intelligence.

"Don't do that. That's not nice, " he said, adding that he wanted to answer a question about trade and moving on to another reporter. "I'd be the world's worst!" You never do. Now, go ahead.

"I wouldn't mind that at all", Trump said. "The trauma for a man who has never had any accusations". "But, you know, I'd like to do the trade questions, too". "Please sit down", he said. "She's, like, in a state of shock", he said, earning laughs from the crowd.

The result: Again, he managed to avoid answering hard questions.

He said actor Rosie O'Donnell had a "fat, ugly face".
