Tottenham's captain admitted being more than twice the drink drive when police stopped his Porsche Panamera in London at 2am on August 24.

The World Cup victor, wearing a dark suit and no tie, faced a scrum of photographers as he arrived at court, flanked by security guards.

The Spurs goalkeeper provided a sample containing 80 micrograms of alcohol per 100 millilitres of breath.

Sentencing Lloris, magistrate Amanda Barron said the fine represented the seriousness of the offence as well as the goalkeeper's financial means - though details of his salary were not disclosed in court.
