Florence becomes hurricane, threatens direct hit on U.S. Southeast

Major Hurricane Likely to Hit East Coast Late This Week

Flo's On The Go: Massive Storm Barrels Toward East Coast

AccuWeather Hurricane Expert Dan Kottlowski warned that Florence could even make landfall along the U.S. East Coast.

As of 11 a.m. Sunday, the storm was moving westward at 6 miles per hour.

"That is pretty warm for this time of year and it will help keep the hurricane's intensity up as it nears the coast", he said. It is expected to intensify rapidly on Sunday and could become a major hurricane by Monday with sustained wind speeds of at least 111 miles per hour (179 km per hour), forecasters said.

Officials say Florence-generated swells are affecting Bermuda and starting to reach parts of the U.S. East Coast.

PM Imran seeks overseas Pakistanis help in overcoming water crisis
Before the elections (2014), BJP and PM Modi had said that they will make Pakistan Occupied Kashmir a part of India. The prime minister further urged Pakistanis in Europe and the U.S. to contribute at least $1000.

Because of the uncertainty of the storm's track, Northam encouraged all state residents to prepare for impact from this storm. This, unfortunately will mean that Florence has a much higher chance of affecting the USA east coast by later in the week.

North Carolina Governor Roy Cooper also declared a state of emergency on Friday saying: 'We are entering the peak of hurricane season and we know well the unpredictability and power of these storms'.

"All indications are that Florence will be an extremely unsafe Category 4 hurricane while it moves over the western Atlantic toward the southeastern United States", the NHC said.

"Action today can avoid losses due to Florence", he said.

Democrats have also said they'll push to release Trump's tax returns if they gain control of Congress. Trump said the inquiry should have been wrapped up a "long time ago".

"This storm is too powerful and its path is too uncertain to take any chances", said South Carolina Governor Henry McMaster on Saturday. "These swells are likely to cause life-threatening surf and rip current onditions". "Due to these conditions, Superintendent David Hallac is strongly urging all beach visitors to stay out of the Atlantic Ocean until unsafe conditions subside".

Tropical-storm warnings have been issued for the southern Cabo Verde Islands. Gusty winds and heavy rainfall were expected this weekend for the island nation.

A third storm, Helene, off the Cabo Verde Islands was expected to become a hurricane later on Sunday. Some forecast models have shown Florence slamming into land by late next week, while others indicated the storm would curve away from shore. Both of these are far enough south that they could affect the Caribbean, East Coast, and possibly even the Gulf of Mexico within the next 10-15 days.

Just a day or two ago, Florence was thought to be very likely to curve out to sea; of the 79 named storms that have formed within 200 miles of its birthplace in the Atlantic, none have hit the United States.

Yedlin was at right back, with Brooks and Matt Miazga in the center of the back line and Antonee Robinson at left back. I can't ask them, 'Hey, excuse me, let me score.' I suffered lots of fouls during the World Cup, but it happened.

There is also Tropical Depression Nine in the Central Atlantic. But it was expected to move on a mostly westward course during the next 24 hours. A turn toward the west-northwest is forecasted to occur by Monday.
