Aaron Rodgers leaves with injury in first half against Bears

Aaron Rodgers walked off on his own power but was later carted off the field in the first half with an apparent knee injury against the

Surely this kind of scenario couldn't play out for the Bears against a traditionally stout Packers team on their home field?

The loss overshadowed an impressive performance by new Bears pass rusher Khalil Mack.

However, to the surprise of many - and in a testament to his bloody-mindedness - he returned to the sidelines for the second-half and appeared to be ready to play.

After running 19 plays for 146 yards in the first quarter, the Bears managed just six yards on 10 plays in the second quarter.

However, Rodgers' knee turned out to not be a severe injury, and after the Bears orchestrated a field goal drive to go up 20-0 to open the second half, out trotted Rodgers to lead the Packers offense.

Not ending that 14-play drive late in the fourth quarter with a touchdown was all the window Rodgers needed to get the Packers a win, as a third-and-one passing play fell incomplete.

Trubisky completed 8 of 9 passes for 99 yards to five different receivers on the two scoring drives, including passes of 33 yards to Allen Robinson II and 31 yards to Taylor Gabriel. On the following drive, Mack got on the board for the first time as a Bear as he intercepted Kizer, who was under heavy pressure from Robertson-Harris, and returned it 27 yards for the touchdown to make it 17-0.

The injury happened in the second quarter when Rodgers stayed down after a sack.

Green Bay Packers WR Davante Adams stutter steps and dives in for a touchdown on a pass from QB Aaron Rodgers against the Bears at Lambeau Field.

But Mack was not to be denied, getting a strip snack and recovery off backup DeShone Kizer. After he did so, Bears defensive end Roy Robertson-Harris sacked him and landed right on Rodgers' left knee.

After the Bears widened the margin to 23-17 on Parkey's 32-yard field goal with 2:39 to play, Rodgers threw a short pass over the middle to Randall Cobb, who raced 75 yards for the winning touchdown with 2:13 remaining.

The ground attack was better, but the check downs were the calls.

Novak Djokovic beats John Millman, enters US Open semis
Millman, who will climb to a career-high ranking inside the world's top 40 for his Flushing Meadows run, will get little respite. I think that this tournament needs to address this, because whether it's night or day, we just don't have air down there.
