Report: Yankees acquire OF McCutchen

Friday afternoon, the Yankees swung a trade with the Giants that sends Andrew McCutchen to NY for two prospects.

San Francisco Giants center fielder Andrew McCutchen (22) hits an RBI double during the ninth inning against the Arizona Diamondbacks at Chase Field.

McCutchen will be a free agent after the season.

Shortly after Olney's report, New York Post columnist Joel Sherman began to fill in the details.

Roxanne Pallett has left the CBB house
Thomas, 34, said there was no "malice" in his actions, with some viewers arguing that the incident was only play-fighting. Ofcom confirmed it has received more than 11,000 complaints over the situation between Roxanne and Ryan.

The 31-year-old was acquired by the Giants from the Pittsburgh Pirates during the offseason and has hit.255 with 15 home runs, 55 RBIs and 13 stolen bases in 130 games this year.

McCutchen, the 2013 National League MVP and a Gold Glove center fielder, hit.279 with 28 home runs, 88 RBIs, 94 runs and 11 stolen bases a year ago.

The Giants will receive infielder Abiatal Avelino and another minor leaguer.

In 10 appearances (nine starts) this season with Single-A Staten Island, De Paula, the Yankees' No. 26 prospect, was 2-2 with a 1.71 ERA. He finished third in the vote in 2012 and '14 and fifth in '15. Even if the Yankees do pick up his entire remaining salary, they will still be able to stay under the luxury tax threshold.

Thousands line up in Washington to say goodbye to John McCain
Pence, who said he was sent by President Trump , thanked McCain for his lifetime of service both in uniform and in public office. The church service brought to a close two days of mourning for the six-term senator and presidential nominee in his home state.

In a well-stocked Yankees' farm system, Avelino hasn't received much national press, but the 23-year-old native of the Dominican Republic has some skills that could make him a useful piece on a major league roster.

The trade could be an indication that the Yankees are concerned about the health of Judge, who has been slow to return from a fractured right wrist he suffered July 23.

The New York Yankees are dealing with significant injury issues and depth at the outfielder position is thin.
