Manitoba affected by BC wildfire smoke, special air quality alert in effect

The entire province of Manitoba is under somewhat hazy skies and Environment Canada has issued an air quality alert. Smoke could worsen into unhealthy levels by Monday, the agency said. "We recommend everyone stay indoors when possible".

Air quality could remain in the at least the "unhealthy" range or worse until at least Tuesday evening, according to the Benton Clean Air Agency.

The alert is the result of smoke from Canadian wildfires drifting across the region.
