According to Geo News, the Pakistan Tehreek-e-Insaf (PTI) chief is accused of wielding choppers, MI-17 and Ecureuil, belonging to the provincial government of KP for as long as 74 hours causing a loss of Rs 2.1 million to the state exechequer.

Indian deputy commissioner J.P. Singh also accompanied the Indian envoy.

Imran Khan had defeated former prime minister and Pakistan Muslim League-Nawaz leader Shahid Khaqan Abbasi in the NA-53 Islamabad seat by 48,577 votes.

Khan won all five National Assembly constituencies he contested from in the polls.

Khan stressed the need to restart the dialogue between the two countries on all outstanding issues, including Kashmir. He expressed hope that SAARC conference would soon be held in Islamabad.

Appreciating the Indian Prime Minister's positive gesture, Khan said that both countries should invest in poverty reduction, pulling millions out of the poverty trap.

Shortly after Modi's conversation with Khan on phone, speculations were rife that the latter would invite the Indian PM for his swearing-in. This news regarding the meeting of Imran Khan with India's high commissioner is going to show how our government won't shy away from engaging with Khan despite the speculations that he might end up toeing Pakistan army's line on to India.
