Fortnite Is Finally on Android - If You Have a Samsung Phone

Samsung unveils gaming-friendly Galaxy Note 9, targeting younger customers

Samsung finally unveils its much-anticipated Galaxy Watch

Samsung announced the much-awaited Galaxy Note 9 at a special event in NY yesterday.

Once you've picked a trade-in, you will notice that the price in your cart for your Galaxy Note 9 has dropped to reflect the trade-in.

Sprint is offering the Galaxy Note 9 at 50 percent off with a Sprint Flex Lease with payments of $20.83 per month. Pre-orders for the Galaxy Note 9 will begin on August 10th, with the device slated to start shipping and become available at major retailers on August 24th.

Thursday's announcement in NY comes about a month before Apple is expected to unveil new iPhones. While Samsung certainly isn't averse to chasing as broad a possible audience as it can for the majority of its range, the Note resolutely targets a prosumer customer and the expectations that those buyers come with.

Jurgen Klopp had to sign £67m keeper, says Jamie Carragher
It was the Egyptian's pressing on the edge of the box which saw him dispossess Tomas Rincon in the build-up to Liverpool's 16th-minute penalty.

Out of the box, Android phones are perfectly secure enough for consumers. Lovers of the game will get an exclusive Note 9 character skin or alternative appearance for characters.

Samsung blamed itself partly for the disappointing performance, saying on an earnings call that it's played too safe with smartphones too long.

That stance is easing with executives promising to introduce eye-opening features more aggressively.

The new phone will get some automatic photo editing and a stylus that can serve as a remote control. There's a much larger battery, likely improved screen technology, an improved camera, a more capable S Pen, more capacity as standard and stereo speaker for your money. There are also improvements to the camera, internal specs and, of course, the S Pen stylus. We already know about the US, UK and DE availability but what about India?

Next James Bond Could Be Idris Elba?
That's the part that I'm like, 'Ugh, come on.' Are we interested in having a Bond character other than being a male? A new James Bond is like a new Doctor Who, or even a new England manager.

It really depends on how much you value Samsung's optimization on whether you think this is a worthwhile purchase - there are many phones from China especially that offer similar specs, and for far less cash.

Samsung has also added an adjustable aperture 12MP main camera to the Note 9, which is paired with a 12MP telephotos camera. Samsung offers a version of the Note 9 with 8GB but Tom's Guide tests were conducted on the 6GB version. This feature lets users connect their device to a computer display using a separate accessory, essentially turning the smartphone into a full-featured desktop with apps. The Note series is very popular among Android fans, so there will be plenty of users with this device.

Fortnite will be available on other, non-Samsung Android devices in "the next few days", according to The Verge.

Samsung also breathed some life into its smartwatch, with Galaxy Watch, featuring new silicon for the first time in two years, and a slightly larger display (42mm and 46mm) than before. It also comes with LTE connectivity and is water-resistant.
