Transfer: Manchester United in talks to sign Chelsea defender

Chelsea defender Kurt Zouma is close to signing for Everton on loan, according to reports.

The deal for Zouma was also expected after a deal sheet was submitted, but it took until Friday afternoon for confirmation, with the Frenchman becoming Everton's seventh signing of the summer.

Zouma arrived at Chelsea in 2014, with a lot of excitement around his talent.

Dez Bryant Announces Visit With Cleveland Browns
The Cowboys released Bryant , who has racked up 7,459 yards and 73 touchdowns over 8 seasons, in April. Update: After the Browns took a 13-3 lead in Thursday's preseason game, Bryant posted this tweet.

Zouma has made over 100 appearances in English football and Everton will be hoping that he will be able to help rejuvenate their defence for the upcoming season.

He was loaned to Stoke the following summer and appeared in 34 Premier League games but could not prevent the Potters finishing with the joint-worst defensive record in the division and suffering relegation.

It looks like Mourinho has moved on to another potential target as L'Equipe claim Manchester United have joined Everton in holding talks with Chelsea over a deal to sign Kurt Zouma. With his prospects unlikely to improve much at Chelsea this season, a move away from the Bridge makes sense. Manchester United have thus, opened negotiations with their rivals over a possible move for the 23-year-old, although the Blues are unwilling to sell to a direct rival.

Grazier Mark Wylie has spent A$30,000 in the past six weeks boring for groundwater, to no avail. Drought conditions in New South Wales are the driest and most widespread since the 1960s.

The Toffees left it late to make an approach to loan the France worldwide but as both sides submitted their paperwork before the 5pm deadline, the deal was allowed to proceed.

Everton have been one of the busiest clubs on the Premier League's transfer deadline day and have already signed Yerry Mina, Andres Gomes and Bernard on last minute deals.
