Provocative documentarian Michael Moore (Bowling for Columbine, Fahrenheit 9/11, Sicko) is back with Fahrenheit 11/9, a look at America under the ludicrous presidency of Donald Trump. The doc, a sort of sequel to Moore's anti-W film Fahrenheit 9/11 is set to hit theaters September 21, a date chosen by Moore to spread the anti-Trump word before the mid-term elections.
Many of Moore's prior movies caused a stir, but that was before the omnipresence of social media, Since we're all constantly drowning in the never-ending news cycle of Trump's latest idiotic statement or decision, I'm not sure how effective this film can be. The "11/9" in the title refers to the day Donald Trump was declared President of the United States, at 2:29AM in the morning of November 9th, 2016. Stop hoping for a magic solution that will thwart him.
Yerry Mina and Andre Gomes finalise moves to Everton
Bernard started his career at Atletico Mineiro, where he won the Copa Libertadores in 2013. Everton have been chasing the 23-year-old since his impressive World Cup exploits.
According to HuffPost, the film "juxtaposes footage of Trump rallies and neo-Nazi protests with images of Moore using Flint water to hose down the MI governor's gated driveway".
The "Fahrenheit 11/9" footage also shows Moore speaking to David Hogg, the activist student who survived the Stoneman Douglas High School shooting on February 14, 2018, and progressive Democratic Congressional candidate Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez, who won a stunning victory in the primary earlier this summer.
Students recreate Hiroshima devastation in virtual reality
The Center will host Never Again , a commemoration of the Hiroshima and Nagasaki bombings on Thursday, August 9 at 7 p.m. The bombings, the first atomic attacks on humans, closed World War II and opened the nuclear age.
In the first footage from the film, we see Moore speak to Parkland student and activist David Hogg and rising Democratic star Alexandria Ocasio-Cortez.
In a Q&A with the HuffPost, Moore described Trump as an "evil genius" who has "no intention of leaving the White House" without a fight. This puts us all in grave danger. "Hope gives you permission to let someone else do the work". Hope leads people to believe that tax returns, or a pee tape, or the Federal Bureau of Investigation or an adult film star will save the country.
