Environment Canada issues heat warning for Montreal

Two days of sweltering heat and humidity is expected for Southwestern Ontario Sunday and Monday, resulting in the opening of cooling centres across London.

Heat warnings have been issued for parts of Alberta and British Columbia, bringing the total number in effect across Canada to 110.

City officials also issued a heat warning for Toronto on Sunday.

In a statement to Radar, the Office of the Chief Medical Examiner in NYC said they are "investigating" the discovery. After arriving in NY late Monday, the plane had been parked in a hangar overnight, and the fetus went undiscovered.

"Overnight minimum temperatures will only fall to near 20 degrees, providing little relief from the heat", the agency said.

Heat-related health risks are greater for young children, pregnant women, older adults, people with chronic illnesses and people working or exercising outdoors.

For people experiencing homelessness, TTC tokens are available at several drop-ins throughout the city to be used to get to cool places.
