The 31-year-old England global has joined the Clarets for an undisclosed fee on an initial two-year deal, joining Tom Heaton and Nick Pope at Turf Moor.

He admits the move wasn't an option until Pope's injury, but he now swells the goalkeeping ranks under coach Billy Mercer and has been impressed with the atmosphere at the club.

Hart was at City for 12 years but Pep Guardiola made clear he would no longer be number one when we took over in 2016.

The 31-year-old ultimately lost his place in England's World Cup squad too, edged out by Jordan Pickford, Jack Butland and Pope for a place in Gareth Southgate's plans this summer.
