Recently, Google Maps got a feature of scrolling bar which was spotted being placed just under the search bar that is seen at the top. The ability to book a cab directly from Google Maps is handy, especially when you're in unfamiliar territory. However, the company removed the feature from iOS back in August past year.

Google made a big fuss about having the ability to book an Uber through the Maps app when the functionality was added in January 2017. While the feature was active, you wouldn't even need to have the Uber app installed. The company removed the feature quietly, without any explanation. However, for reasons now unknown, Google just removed that integration. The Next Web points out that there's a bit of bad blood between Google and Uber, primarily due to the Waymo IP theft case, which was finally settled in February after a protracted court battle.
The feature showing price estimates and displaying the arrival timing of a ride was allowed on Google Maps a while ago.
