Police say two Wyandotte County sheriff's deputies and a suspect have been shot near the county courthouse in Kansas City, Kansas Friday (June 15).

A suspect may have shot the deputies with a gun obtained from them, officials said.

The deputy that died was identified as Deputy Patrick Rohrer, 35.

The Rev. Vernon Howard, president of the Southern Christian Leadership Conference of Greater Kansas City, bemoaned the "fatality on top of fatality".
