One Twitter post said that the celebrity raccoon has succeeded in uniting the country the way no politician could. By Tuesday afternoon, it had stopped on a ledge more than 20 stories high.

One lucky racoon in the USA has not only made it (to the top of a building, that is), but has also gained world-wide attention for its dare-devil antics.
The animal became a bit of a star on social media as people began to cheer on the creature during its attempt to summit the building.
"And we'll hope animals do what animals do", said Department of Safety and Inspections spokeswoman Laurie Brickley.

Minnesota Pubic Radio staffers managed to snag naming rights for the animal - inundating the internet with the Twitter hashtag #MPRRaccoon, which promptly caught on. Many have been tweeting their support for the animal, as it stays stranded on the skyscraper.
By about 10:30 p.m., the raccoon had decided on a change of scenery. "Goodbye friend!" the UBS tower tweeted on Wednesday.
The story started yesterday morning when Minnesota Public Radio reporter Tim Nelson noticed the animal trapped on an overhang near the bottom of the UBS Building in downtown St Paul.
