First glimpse of Gal Gadot in 'Wonder Woman 2' released

Jenkins has pretty much reunited most of her behind-the-scenes team from Wonder Woman, including director of photography Matthew Jensen, production designer Aline Bonetto, and costume designer Lindy Hemming.

There's no word yet as to whether original "Wonder Woman" Lynda Carter has converted Gadot to following the Caps.

Gal Gadot returns as the titular Amazon alongside Chris Pine (as Steve Trevor). It's believed that the title of the sequel is based off of George Orwell's dystopian classic novel 1984, which touches on corrupt governments and surveillance.

The image of Gadot features her in character as Diana Prince, standing in front of a wall of TV screens. Two things come to mind here: How is Steve Trevor alive?

Warner Bros. did not specify how Steve Trevor (who seemingly died in the first film set in World War I) is returning.

It's pretty interesting that Chris Pine will be back, but we somewhat expected it ever since it was rumored about a year ago.

The director has also confirmed Kristen Wiig (Bridesmaids) will be playing Wonder Woman's nemesis Cheetah in the sequel. The film became a massive hit for Warner Bros., becoming the 20th-highest domestic grosser of all time, as well as the second-biggest move of 2017 after "Beauty and the Beast".

Governor Ralph Northam announced Wednesday that the highly anticipated "Wonder Woman" sequel will film in northern Virginia for several weeks this summer.
