Whilst Porsche didn't say which of the two would be named Taycan, it's safe to assume (see below) that the sports vehicle model will receive the name as it's slated to begin production next year.

Porsche's Mission E Concept will spawn the brand's first all-electric model when the Taycan EV supercar reaches United Kingdom showrooms in 2019.

Taycan translates roughly to "lively young horse", referencing the leaping steed in the Porsche crest. “Our new electric sports auto is strong and dependable; its a vehicle that can consistently cover long distances and that epitomises freedom”, explains Oliver Blume, Chairman of the Executive Board of Porsche AG.

U.S. officially repeals net neutrality rules
But unlike with the issues of blocking or slowing access to internet services, they've been much less definitive on fast lanes. Net neutrality rules created to ensure equal Internet access formally are set to expire on Monday after a lengthy battle.

The seats themselves, which are full bucket shape, are made of carbon fibre, and Porsche says the light brown "Cognac" leather 'picks up on features from the car's classic predecessors'.

The Porsche Mission E concept - first shown at the Frankfurt Motor Show in 2015 - has a near-600bhp powertrain consisting of lithium-ion batteries and two electric motors, one for each axle. The vehicle will feature two permanently synchronous motors (PSM) that provides a total system output of over 600 PS (590 hp or 440 kW).

On that note, Porsche is aiming for a range of over 500km between charges, and there are some serious performance claims too.

President Trump And Kim Jong Un Set To Begin Summit In Singapore
Trump, after meeting recently with a North Korean envoy at the White House, said the summit will likely be part of "a process". Lee has said the summit would cost Singapore about S$20 million ($15 million), more than half of which would go on security.

According to Porsche, Taycan is a word taken from an eastern dialect and is pronounced "tie-can". The name "Boxster" describes the combination of the boxer engine and the roadster design; Cayenne denotes fieriness; the Cayman is sharp and agile; and the Panamera, inspired by the Carrera Panamericana long-distance race, offers more than any standard sedan.

Porsche plans to invest more than six billion euro in electromobility by 2022, doubling the expenditure that the company had originally planned.

To prepare for the arrival of the Porsche Taycan, Porsche has set aside a dedicated assembly for the EV model at the Stuttgart-Zuddenhausen headquarters. Porsche also haven't ruled out selling an entry-level rear-wheel-drive variant later on down the track.
