Xbox head Phil Spencer took to the stage to walk through the portfolio of studios that are now under Xbox's banner.
There's been a ton of news at Microsoft's 2018 E3 Press Conference, but easily one of the stand out announcements is the addition of new first party studios into the Xbox line up. He comes from Crystal Dynamics where he worked on the recent Tomb Raider franchise reboot. Although there was no confirmation of a release date for Fallout 76 , pre-orders for the game will begin on June 15. It's a prequel, which might be why the world looks less brown and utterly ruined than Fallout games tend to be.
Microsoft also announced that it has acquired State of Decay developer Undead Labs and Forza Horizon studio Playground Games.
Hellblade studio Ninja Theory has also been snapped up by Microsoft, presumably to make some exciting first-party action games for Xbox. Spencer confirmed that Playground is making a brand-new game, which is rumored to be Fable 4.
Rafael Nadal wins another French Open crown
Nadal enjoyed a fast start to the encounter, winning the opening six points on his way to going 2-0 up in the first set. Nadal will serve for the French Open title after breaking Thiem for a second time to take a 5-2 lead in the third set.
Lastly, Compulsion Games, which will release We Happy Few in August of this year, joins Microsoft as the fifth game studio to round out the list. If all goes right, these acquisitions should fill out Microsoft's sparse lineup of Xbox exclusives and strengthen its competition against Sony's strong roster of console exclusives.
