Arsenal in shock move for Manchester United midfielder

Manchester United have reportedly rejoined the race to sign Antoine Griezmann, who is also a summer target for Barcelona.

According to Foot 365 journalist Patrick Juillard, there is serious interest on the part of the Gunners in signing the Belgian on a free transfer. The longer it drags on, the more it seems to favour Atletico instead.

Griezmann is now preparing for the World Cup with the French national team in Clairefontaine, just outside of Paris.

Despite the operation's routine nature, Melania remained there for five days, returning to the White House on 19 May. Her presence at the hurricane event outside the White House has prompted a proper storm on social media.

His worldwide team-mate Umtiti - who signed a five-year deal with Barca on Monday - said Griezmann would be a welcome recruit at Camp Nou. But, the Blaugrana now face competition from Manchester United, who are back in the race to sign Griezmann this summer.

"It is easy to get along with great players, and Griezmann is one of the best", Messi said.

United boss Jose Mourinho has stressed for much of the last year that he is keen to keep Fellaini at the club - but he started just two league games since the turn of the year. Meanwhile, Griezmann could be in a similar predicament at Barcelona, where Luis Suarez is still the first-choice striker.

Barcelona star Lionel Messi has said he would like Atletico Madrid forward Antoine Griezmann to join him at the Camp Nou to help form "the best team in the world", but added a deal is not yet 100 percent done.

Ultimately nothing came of it as Atletico Madrid's transfer ban meant Griezmann opted to remain loyal to his club for one more season as to not leave them high and dry.
